Is the new dollar wallet live?

Not yet. This page is a rollout preview. Wallet checkout and the $5 signup grant remain disabled while we finish validation. Existing customer access and billing are unchanged until Dealport announces a cutover.

Will Scout require a monthly subscription?

Accepted Answer

No base subscription is required. Add wallet balance ad hoc at full price, save 5% with optional monthly funding, or save 10% with annual funding. Annual plans are billed upfront and release your chosen wallet amount monthly for 12 months. Unused released balance rolls forward.

What will Scout charge for?

Accepted Answer

This release includes $1 per lead and $3 per deep dive. Hold Extension at $2 for 30 days and approval-gated Email Outreach for free are approved next actions, but they are not available yet. Underwriting and voice calls remain unavailable until their cost and quality are validated.

Do I still pay to reveal an owner?

No. The new model does not sell a separate source view or charge to reveal an owner record. Scout charges for the discrete research and workflow actions shown on this page, with each charge attached to a wallet-ledger entry.

What does Scout actually do every day?

Accepted Answer

Scout runs your buy-box against 11M+ company records, surfaces off-market candidates with sell-readiness evidence (life triggers, succession gaps, coasting signals, owner age and tenure), resolves verified owner contacts, drafts outreach in your name via warmed dedicated domains, and queues every draft for your one-click approval. Nothing sends without you. When an owner replies, Scout qualifies gently and proposes a call — and immediately hands you the thread if price, legal, or anything sensitive comes up.

What is Dealport Discovery?

Discovery is the committed-search service: Scout plus a human deal team operating a defined mandate. It is priced as a scoped flat retainer, not from the self-serve wallet. Talk to us to agree the work and fee before the search begins.

Question 7

How is this different from using ChatGPT or Claude myself?

Accepted Answer

A general-purpose AI can help you draft an email. It doesn't have 11M+ company records, years-in-business data, verified owner contacts, warmed sending domains, or any mechanism for knowing which owners are actually ready. Scout is the agent plus the machine it operates — the research infrastructure, contact resolution, and sending rails are built in. You'd need months of tooling to replicate it, and you'd still be doing the daily work yourself.

Are you a licensed broker?

No. Dealport works the buy-side end of origination — sourcing, scoring, outreach, and introductions. We don't represent sellers and we don't coordinate the close. Counsel, QoE, and the close stay between you and the seller.

Question 9

Will the same wallet work with an API or MCP?

Accepted Answer

That is the intended model, but API and MCP access are not available yet. We are designing one dollar-denominated wallet so web, API, and MCP usage can share the same transparent ledger as those interfaces launch.
